The Mermaid BuildingThe deli occupies what has long been known as The Mermaid Building for its bright aqua color, seascape murals and, most of all, for the large wooden mermaid statue which once graced the entrance. Eventually, over decades, ocean winds and storms eroded the mermaid away. The Mermaid Deli will strive to retain the spirit and beauty that the mermaid has always symbolized. ConsultingWalden RE Consulting provided market analysis and project management services to the development of the deli and redevelopment of The Mermaid Building. South Beach Construction and Drafting Services, a design-build team in Westport, executed the build-out.
